Affirm
For this project, I streamlined Affirm's treasury process by creating a web app to condense their operations. Together, we created a web-app to automate and store past templates to save time and induce more profitable decisions.
Workflow Automation
In our new tool, the treasury team's work is automatically created and saved - saving them time and effort.
File Organization
Making the team's work more communal allows for more context and collaboration in their work, leading to smarter decisions.
Business Security
Making the team's work more communal allows for more context and collaboration in their work, leading to smarter decisions.
Part One
Research & Discovery
1 Document Process
Meet with team to discuss process flows and responsibilities. Have PM and Senior Treasury Ops describe their process in heavy detail.
2 Pain Points
Recognize struggle points that are holding back the team's productivity.
3 Wish List
Reconvene with Treasury Ops to gauge their feedback on our identified "struggle points" while putting together a "wish list", or features that the team would love to see.
Part Two
Validating Ideas
1 Low-Fidelity Prototypes
On the next meeting, confirm the struggle points with rough UI sketches and prototypes that illustrate our ideas - iterate on findings.
2 Combine and Synthesize Feedback
In combination with the qualitative feedback from meetings and the product "wish-list", work toward a high-fidelity solution.
Part Three
Creating Features
Organized Index
Store models in one place, allowing users to search and filter existing models.
Collapsible Directory
When opening a model, the data is automatically grouped into collapsible categories. While evaluating their process, we recognized that they always grouped data into the same 8-ish categories, but still left it scattered in their models. Collapsibility is necessary in this scenario, when their models can easily have hundreds of rows.
Checks Tool
Inside a model, a "checks" tool allows you to compare concentration levels in the data.
Notes Tool
In combination with the checks tool, "notes" acts as a communication board between colleagues as well as summarizing the version history.
